Audi 100 Auto gearbox problem
I've got a G-reg 2.3 auto at the moment, which has a bit of a problem.
For the past couple of weeks it's been making I'm-eating-myself noises as I've been driving about, but it's been shifting OK, so I've turned the radio up to cover up the noises.
Last night I pulled away and the car drove OK until there was a THUNK and then no forwards drive. Now it seems I have a problem that turning up the radio simply ain't gonna solve.
Thankfully reverse is still working and I managed to reverse it half a mile (past the local police station) into a car park where I've abandoned it for now.
So, do you think it's full, from eating itself and if so, how do I empty it, so it can continue?
Is anyone looking for the hull of a barge? There's no rot on it, so I think it should still float.
Finally, will PimpDriver mind that I've broken his newest acquisition?
