The car is a 1976 (R Reg) early Broadstripe RS2000 in Signal Green (and yes it is a rare colour). The Scheel seats are correct for the year as the Fishnet Recaro seats were fitted to the later model year cars 'T' Plate onwards when Ford made a Custom and Base Model.

There was no such thing as an RS2000 Custom in the early cars as they were all the same spec. Glass is clear on the car (correct for the year as tinted was offered as an option), back panel is black (again correct only the Mexico and Base models had colour coded back panels), no Radio Cassette as this was an option on all RS 2000's including the later Custom models, dash clock and pod is also correct as only the later Base and Mexico models didn't have them fitted. The car has a remote mirror fitted which was added as an option from the factory

The car is fitted with 7" Ronal RS Alloys which were a Ford Motorsport option as the standard 6" Alloys in my opinion don't look as nice, it also has a 3 spoke RS motorsport steering wheel fitted and a 69L Grp 1 Petrol Tank.

The engine is a 2.0L Black Top Zetec engine with a BDA Style Cam cover fitted to give the retro look. It is running Fuel injection with Jenvey Throttle Bodies controlled by an Emerald M3D ECU and produces 180BHP.

The suspension is uprated along with the brakes and it also has a custom made 2 1/2" Stainless Steel Exhaust manifold and system.

As for handling it is a MK2 Escort which is light and great to throw around twisty roads but even with the 5 Speed gearbox modern hot hatchback cars will out perform it on Motorways and some A roads.

Are they driveable and competitive?? Just look how many MK1 and MK2 BDA Escorts are still competing at top level Rally events in the UK. They don't compare with modern WRC cars but they are 30 years old

finally, Thanks for appreciating my car and the nice comments
Thanks for giving the full sp on your car Martin. I couldn't of put it better myself.
