[Booty]

Friend of mine has a 2008 HSE Discovery ( him and his Brother bought one each at the same time) with all the bells and whistles, 38k it's done and has not missed a beat of service history from Land Rover Stafford. Two weeks ago he called me to say the engine had gone bang and that it was in the garage at Stafford. He reckoned he was lucky that he had had the extended warranty as it was 'just' out of it's three years factory period. Couple of days after it went in Landrover dude calls and says to Mark, you know your extended warranty only covers you to 5k dont you? So he reckoned it was out with the switch card to top up the bill. Anyway, to cut to the chase it was the fuel pump, well, both of them actually and because the one in the tank is sealed in, the tank needed to be replaced too. So I said to him that he was a jammy sod and that he ought to think himself lucky as the warranty will pay the entire bill. All he could do was moan his arse off saying he had only just put in 137 quids worth of derv ten minutes before it packed up!!
