Audi 80 b2 central locking stopped working help please!
Hi guys, recently i had a guy re-connect my electric windows for me in my 1983 b2 audi 80 q. He tapped the windows into the central locking circuit and from that point my central locking has stopped working. Since then i have had a clifford G5 650 alarm installed with intellistart, it is frustrating that i have this but no central locking and the installer is waiting to come back and finish it once i get the central locking working again. The windows now have their own live feed (not from the central locking). the central locking fuse is intact. i thought it maybe the pump in the boot (as since then there is sticky oil around it in the boot). I changed the pump with another pump which i know works. I really don't know what else it could be. Is there a motor in the drivers door which the extra power from the windows may have fried? if so how would i check to see if it still works without having to buy another? is there a relay for the central locking circuit? on the diagram on the plastic cover for my dash they havn't stated one. Is there any other modules/components i should check? Do you think i should bypass the circuit completely by getting the alarm installer to connect the central locking directly to the alarm? Oh and the new pump still isn't making any sound at all. i would be very grateful for some help/advice with this asap. cheers!
