The KV has better throttle response than any ur-quattro engine.
The KV's equivalent of the limp home problem is the vacuum unit on the distributor. I reckon as many as a fifth in the UK have leaky diaphragms. It's getting hard to find a car - turbo or not - that passes the MityVac tests.
