Looks normal to me Martyn.
You have to have clearance between that cap and the body or else itd transfer all the road noise through into it.
Its not supposed to bet locked between the cap and turret.
What youre missing is the plastic covers that fit on top which cover it and make it look like its a snug fit.
Really cant see anything wrong with it to be honest matey.
