Default Alloy refurb - first time

Got these off a guy in Swindon last week, bargain for 120 squid. Two tyres are nearly new but slightly different tread patterns (similar to Eagle F1) so not going to risk them. Other two have 3mm each.

Anyway worth the 8 hour drive there and back as Id been after a set for my UrS4 for a while.

The alloys are in good nick but the rimms have corrosion spots - horrible white or black patches. So today I polished a rim for the first time:

Before (apols for poor quality pic was done with mobile)

I hour later (after paint stripper, battery cleaning brush and grades of wire wool)

quite pleased for a first stab....

really must get a proper camera again lol

Will finnish the other 3 off this week and then stick a new set of 17" 225 45 tyres on

any tips welcomed
