70s: Pop/usual chart stuff
Early 80s: Pop/Jean Michael Jarre/Rap/Electro/Hiphop
Late 80s: Rap/Hiphop/Dance/Electronic (Bomb The Bass/Stereo MC's/etc)
Early 90s: EMF/Charlatans/Music from Skateboarding videos/Rap (De La Soul/Ultramagnetic MCs/Public Enemy/NWA/Eazy E/etc)
Then in November 1991 I got into hardcore/oldskool/rave, started mixing in Feb 92, then followed the scene through hardcore/darkside/jungle/drum bass, playing at loads of events through to 2002 when I hung up my headphones (starting again this year!)
Since then I mostly now listen to a mixture of everything I listed back to the 80s, not much new stuff these days apart from the odd dnb tune here and there
