Yes, the problem is either the relay or the wire itself as it works with a new wire that goes straight from the pump onto the battery. Which one/which number is the relay for the fuel pump supposed...

In fact, almost any kind of oil, including WD-40, will make things look like new. This kind of ''oiling'' has saved quite a few plastic details during the winter as well.
