As someone else has also said... a 4 cyl engine needs a box designed for that engine, ditto for a 5 cyl. If our B2 engine is a KK, a gearbox for a 1.8...

The gearbox in the 1.8 litre Audi 80 was 4.56 : 1 as far as I know.

The 1.8 gearbox used in the 80q is for a 4 pot engine, and the bellhousings are different 4 versus 5 cyl, so that couldn't be the case.....
