Coupe Plasmatic Bootlid Trim

Recently, I was rummaging around in the loft for some rear lamps and found my old coupe's plasmatic Bootlid Trim... It was in good condition but somehow had fallen face down onto the boarding, and then had a pair of new Ur-quattro front wings dragged up and down it... There were some quite deep scoring on it and, disheartened, I nearly dumped it. It was clearly not going to be repairable.

But, today, with the help of an orbital polisher, I methodically went though the restoration sequence of Meguiar’s polishes.

To say I'm stunned by the result is an understatement...

good work Ian! Now you've got the hang of that, you'll start polishing everything in sight!

It becomes more addictive than sex and drugs and alcohol!

Did the same thing to mine - although without a Mop. The road salt had tarnished it somehow. Looks like new again :)
