p slots HELP

anyone ever fitted p slots to an 80? what wheel bolts did you use? i thought the original 80 ones didnt stick into the hub enough so used the ones i bought for the orange rials, after reversing 3 inch i stopped due to clunking noise from the rear hubs/ can wheel bolts be to long help

poss it's long bolts .jack up the rear only use 1 bolt and undo a bit at a time and see if the clonking goes

it sounds like the bolts are to long and catching on the brake shoes, dose the wheel turn? you can buy the bolts in different
lengths you need to measure how much the original bolts threads stick out of the original wheel
hope this helps

3 solutions:
  1. Buy shorter bolts
  2. Buy 5mm spacers
  3. Get the grinder out and grind a few mill of the feckers!!

a good tip that can save any cross-threading.......:ihih:

put a nut, that fits, all the way on to the stud.....

grind the 'fecker'.......

as you take the nut off it will open up the threads again.....:ihih:

its not my tip........an old guy told me.....!
