Front wings
Are there any differences between the front wings on a B4 coupe and saloon?
Can anyone advise on where to buy front wings from? Thanks Nath |
Yes and there is no such thing as a B4 Coupe, they are all B3 based they were just given a face lift in 1991;) I have a half decent passenger side coupe wing going spare.

I'm pretty sure that new Coupe wings are dealer only, not 100% on that mind.

I'm between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, LD3 0YD. Are you sure that's £32 for a new coupe wing? Sounds more like the price for a patten B4 Saloon/Avant wing to me. Tidy second hand Coupe wings normally go for about the £20/30 mark, I think new genuine ones are over £80 (trade price), it's a long time since I last priced one up for obvious reasons. Genuine Saloon/Avant ones are about the £40 mark (trade price again), I know because a mate got a pair for his Avant a few weeks ago. Gav rightly pointed out that new ones won't come with the holes for the side repeater. I'd avoid patten wings like the plague their normally a sod to get to fit right and thin as foil. I'd have to check the condition of the one I've got, but I'm sure it's pretty good, else I'd have slung it. |
Series 3 Coupe wings do not fit the saloons of the same type, the back edge where it meets the door is different.

In between those locations sounds like Talgarth or somewhere near. (We have camped @ Riverside International in years past). The price I quoted earlier was for B4 from the supplier listed in a post above. Thanks for the advice regarding pattern parts, I would be better to source some good genuine wings I think. K.S let me know if you find that wing and its condition etc. |
