I'm confused.
American TV ads tend to be tamer than England.
Significantly tamer than Germany or France.

This ad isn't even eyebrow raising.
Maybe the AbFab girls doing the "overeating" gesture.

What the Monkey!

Yep, it's sexist all right, that Philip Glennister bloke is in it!

Now had Keeley Hawes been in it instead of doing Boots No.7 adverts then it would be perfectly acceptable!

Some saddo feminists probably got all outraged at the thought of a man having carnal thoughts over a scantily clad woman.

Seems to me that theyre jealous because no man would ever want to leer over them.

This country is going down faster than gordon browns popularity rating.

Seen this loads of times and never seen an issue. Is it because ony the girls are in angel outfits?!! Like has been said by many over the last few years, why are the minority PC brigade ruling the majority of us who still retain common sense and humour, ..:shake:

From one of the broadsheets today.

Life on Mars actor Philip Glenister's spot in Marks & Spencer's Christmas TV campaign has been accused of being sexist toward women.

In the £10m ad campaign, which broke last week, Glenister is seen propping up the bar at the end of the ad, after a series of scenes that feature celebrities, including Twiggy, Myleene Klass and Stephen Fry, talking about the lovely things that make Christmas a special time.

"Oh come on, it's Christmas," he says. "That girl prancing around in her underwear." The ad ends with M&S's regular lingerie model, Noemie Lenoir, doing twirls in a forest while scantily clad.

The Advertising Standards Authority has received six complaints that Glenister's Gene Hunt-esque turn is offensive and demeaning to women. The ASA said it will consider the complaints and then make a decision on whether to launch a formal investigation.

MMMmm?..What are the chance of those six people being employed by M&S rivals!!?
