which 14" tyres?

I am turning (slowly) my 80CL into a street sleeper.

I am keeping standard 14" steel wheels (with wheel trims), and want new tyres.

You used to be able to get Goodyear Eagle F1s in 185/60/R14, but they no longer make them.

I want something that grips like sh*t to a blanket in the wet and dry.

Bloke in protyre mentioned Yokohama C drives, anyone hard of these?

Or Goodyear Hydragrip?

Any other thoughts? I'll only be doing 3000 miles a year so not too worried about wear etc.

Not sure of sizes available etc, but my GT ran Yoko's several times with modified arches, (out to 225/50/15's on 7X15's with ET25), these included A509's, A510's and A520's and they were all soft grippy tyres...

The company next to us does all the promotions for Dunlop, Goodyear and Fulda and whatever tyre they've got made, they'll have it for their displays as they do all the displays at the BTCC, SuperBike GP, etc etc.
I'll have a word with them on Monday and see what's hot and what's not!
They always have the odd freebie here and there as well, but unfortunately, it's never as a set of 4!!!!!!!!!
