S6 Boost??

What boost pressure ( bar ) should my S6 be pushing when fully on song?. She runs around 297bhp and is chipped with an intercooler mod. Seems a bit sluggish all of a sudden.

297? have you seen that on a dyno yourself? what chips are in it? thats a very healthy engine if its accurate. On overboost you ought to be seeing 2.4 bar on the dash gauge.Although a mates S4 only seems to read 2.2 but is as quick as another mates S6 that shows 2.4 both running the same chips

my (now Ben's) UrS4 had 2.2bar when Ben put the diverter recirc valve on the right way round! mine had a Nothelle remapped ecu but never did find out what it produced.

Have you got an air leak?

Hey up Booty.

Your S6 should read about 2.2 - 2.4 max. This will tail off to about 1.9 - 2.0 at higher rpm. Remember this is atmospheric plus positive manifold pressure so at 2.2BAR your are actually getting 1.2BAR actual boost pressure.

Even chipped about 1.4BAR boost is usual.

Hmmm, probably done when we were trying to find the missing boost Rich. Some S2'ers had said that they sometimes work better the other way round. Didn't make any difference either way round at the time, so I just left it.

Btw, Nothelle said that the chips would have originally produced 265 PS and 380 Nm torque (limited due to the auto box).

Hey up Spink. Custom Code did the work via PSI in Stoke and they rolling roaded it at Collins Motorsport. She was very very quick up until a couple of weeks ago when she seems to slowly have been getting more sluggish. She will rev but it doesn't do a great deal. She really used to pull your face off but that's not happening at present.:( I keep meaning to go around all the hoses and check for leaks......:wall:

Thanks for the figures Ben I will see what the readout shows tomorrow en route to work.
