Engine help aby etc

I'm after a bit of info as to when the five coil engine came out and what it was fitted too. The 3b I take it was a distributor engine ala rr ? All info gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance.

IFAIK the first five coil engine was the AAN... (5pot 20vT)
