Early CGT badges

Question to the UK contingent.

The 5 S and 5 E badges on early coupes, as compared to the 5 T badge on the 200's.
Are they attached to the grill the same way respectively?
I know the script on the 5T is italisized.

We do not have these badges on American cars, so I need info.

On the 1921 WN Coupe GT (circa 1981) the 5S front badge was not italisized, and was a plain black badge with the '5S' outlined in silver. Boot badge was Audi______________GT

On the 2144cc KE Coupe GT (circa 1983b/u) the 5E front badge was not italisized, and was a plain black badge with the '5E' outlined in silver. Boot badge was Audi______________fuel injection.

Thanx for the technical Ian.

I still after info on attachment to the grille.

Simply put, can a 5T badge be mounted cleanly on a Coupe grille?

I'd think so, they just had two plastic tongues out the back with the same spring clips that hold the front grille onto the top of the bonnet slam panel...

Excellent.
