Audi 200 struts/shocks

I looked at my struts and shocks. The struts, shocks, axle, brakes seem to be just one single piece. How would I replace the struts and shock with out changing the whole thing.

front or rear?
rears are shock with a collar which the spring sits on , held together with a rubber top mount, fronts are strut, shocker insert held into the strut by a retaining ring, spring on the platform, top mount, you can change the front shock with the strut in place, an you be clearer about what you want to do as it would be easier to help, they are pretty straightforward once you know the drill, shall i come over to give you a hand?????

But you'd never pass that red one off as hand luggage on the return trip! Nice try though.:shake:
