Coolant?

Can anyone tell me if my 80 needs special coolant in? What colour should it be because its a rather muddy brown colour at mo!
Thanks in advance, Phil .

Nothing more special than newer audis. "original" was red, if I remember correctly. U need to change your coolant anyway.

you need to drain system then flush it through to get rid of the muddy colour water then refill it with good quality antifreeze

Thats been mixed red with blue..Red is the long life stuff that Audi fit (you can get it at most motor part factors) the blue stuff most garages will just pour in and hope for the best.

But it would be best to have one or the other..
