window motor swap

anyone ever managed to replace a bad motor on a t85 mech? I just can't get the good motor to go into the mech, goes in easy up until about 1cm from where it should butt up.

Also is it possible to rebuild the motors? I have 2 that appear to be seized solid.

I did this several times years and years ago... trying to remember how it went... Try swapping the armatures over inside the outer housing... Generally, I've found it's the gearbox mechanism that fails and the motors are pretty strong... When you dismantle the gearbox mechanism though, make sure it doesn't all 'spring' out when you take the cover off... (I suspect you've already experienced that though...)...
