glowing manifold?
just been watching this video on you tube (its not of an audi) but i was wondering if all cars do this with the exhaust manifolds?
 |

Not surprised with the Ford 6, brilliant engine:smilewinkgrin:
I'd take the XR6T over the XR8 any day... I may have lost you with that, but I'm sure there are a few BA (04?) Falcons in the UK:confused: My Alfa boxer would have the headers glowing after a spirited drive, and the flatmates 2L Alfetta gets a healthy glow on after a good squirt:nod: |
You can get this to happen on most all cars simply by holding the revs up on the rolling road and applying a heavy load to the wheels, rather like driving up a long hill.
Soon makes em glow cherry red. |
Back in the early 90's I took my old GT to Southern Germany and Switzerland. One night stopped for Petrol outside Ulm, having spent a straight hour at over 120mph, popped the bonnet and under the inlet manifold was exactly that.... Looked like a bar fire sat there.
