washed phone

is it me "im on a rant can you tell" my old sony k850i that was my contract phone last year i gave to will a few months back iv had an insurance policy on it for damage which i do due to my job iv had one for seven years and never claimed , on sat my mum who is 85 thaught she would do him a favour and put his jeans in the wash well you know whats coming bump bump from the washer sure enough phone merrily going around in the glass , so i rang them today to make a claim having tried to dry it out , and guess what one of the most comon accidents to occure to a mobile phone isnt covered , so both the policys i have with them are now canceled "**** you homecare" otherwise known as fonesafe , so now im gona have to shell out for another phone for the poor lad he is so miffed as all the pics he took at dellamere last week are lost bugger , the morrel is if i had lied my arse of and said it had been stolen thay would have paid out , so never tell the truth again to insurance companys aaarrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Thats dead unlucky.
Almost as bad as dropping the phone I got for Christmas 3 years ago into a pot of paint a week later:lol:. Quick reactions and I had my hand in to retrieve it, ripped battery out quick and left the now cream coloured phone to dry out having first washed all the keys. Very messy and took ages to get the paint out but a week later, reassembled, put the battery back in and it worked. Needless to say it wasn't insured so kept it for a year before I received a new work phone and chucked the painted one in the bin after swapping over the SIM to my old work phone...

typical insurance companies rip you of then do not pay up when you want them too

You should have dried it out then run it over with your lawnmover or something. Im sure lawnmower damage would be covered.

Kerker, Get some Silica Gel bags and warm them in an oven (low temp) and put them and the phone in a plastic bag for a few days to remove the moisture, the pics should still be there.
if you can't get Silica Gel, warm a big towel in the (electric oven) and wrap the towel around the phone and bag it up, good luck

if it wasnt turned on then the memory chip should still be ok. 1of the girls dropped a camera wrapped under a towel by the pool last week. It was ok after it was dried out.
