B plate Red 80 Sport and H Plate 200 Avant (100 with 200 lights?)
 

Whilst travelling down from Liverpool to collect my new A6 today, I spotted an 80 Sport in Tornado Red, B Plate pre facelift (the best type) in a drive in Chislehurst near Bromley in Kent. On the way home on the M25, I spotted a Lago H Plate 100 Avant with 200 lights fitted. It looked like a 200 Avant, but the H Plate gave the game away! Still looked great, though....

Most B plate 80 Sports seem to be facelift models, so I reckon these pre ones are getting quite rare. I used to have one (reg Jun '84). Good car with later MkII Golf engine in: went well, but body got ragged & it had to go :sad:. Cheers.

Sounds rather like my 100 quattro turbo avant - H reg with 200 panel on the tailgate and bright trim on the bumpers, but I wasn't on M25 on 31 March. Last time I was on M25 was Sat 21 March. Sorry don't have a photo!
