Free MOT
 

Do you know Audi centres are offering a free MOT. Not sure if there is a catch. Anyone taken up the offer yet. Might take mine in April, ready for another 6 months of fun if it is a genuine offer. Might make them scratch their heads if I take mine.:lol::eek:

Some poor soul on the S2 Forum did, and now has a failure list as long as your arm. And had to pay the fee to take the car away without being fixed.

Just more tricks from grabbing Audi it would seem, unsurprisingly.

would be interesting to take a car along the day after it has been issued a fresh MoT elsewhere!!!

Yeah, I'd bet they'd find something.....or many things!

Most MoT places will let small, relatively insignicant things pass. Especially on older cars. Audi will make damn sure they find something if the test is going to be potentially free though.

i fond that in south herefors i was ok i took my s4 for an mot only to find there where problems with the car which really need sorting to make the car safe,eg both rear shock leaking and the head gasket had gone, which is been sorted as we speak

Bought a battery from Audi Trade Parts (TPS), its now failed. Took the battery back to get a replacement,

'sorry sir, as you bought it from TPS, you have to take it back to our parts centre at the main dealer'

ok I thought thats fine, its 2 mins in the car, should have it sorted. Get to main dealer

'Sir you will have to bring the battery in to have it tested'

No problem its in the back of my car

'Oh no sir it has to come in with the car it came from so we can test it....'

Er, the battery is flat and does not hold a charge, and car is at home? How do you expect me to get the car here? And... I've already had it professionaly tested - it does not hold a charge, its knackered please supply a new one.....

'We will have to book in your car and test it on the vehicle, oh and if we find no problem with the battery we will charge you for the diagnostic time

........... I very much doubt the MOT is 'free'.......

And i thought jaguar dealers take the piss when i take mine there......as soon as you walk into any dealer i reckon you are there to be shot at and legged up
