Radio code
Posting on the offchance that someone can help, legally.
Land Rover defender Blaupunkt CD43. Land Rover are no help. |
Not sure for Land Rover but for standard Audi units there are companies that can tell you the code if you have the radio serial number. Look on ebay.
|
Not that it adds much but think the CD43 was fitted to BMW, ended up in Rovers and MGs as well as Landrovers after the buy-out? Given the sheer numbers of units I would have thought somebody has got to the bottom of decoding them...
|
There's plenty of options out there, but me being me, I'd rather find a reply from within our little community first.
|
All I can find on google is code written on the stereo or code written on the bottom of the ashtray, or code on a card in the service book, have you looked there?
|
It's new old stock, bought two years ago. The code label is not where I thought it was, and the number I thought it was isn't right.
Landrover want a copy of the V5, which given that it was never fitted by landrover to a landrover, and I don't own a landrover, is a red herring. I'll have to shell out the £5 for the code, and hope its right. |
Sorted!
Fortunately, the fella I bought the stereo from had it in his records. It's now written down in all sorts of places...:nonod: |
