Well here we go then, first meet planed. Many CA members have been kind enough to PM me and not one person I have messaged has said no yet so its a good start! Due to the time of year a few people have said their Classics are off the road at that time of year but they will attend less their car which is absolutely fine. I hope to attract a few non Audi's from local Classic owners as well.

Any local Classic Audi members please do support. Other than AITP there isnt much opportunity for CA members to meet up in this locality so I am trying to create that opportunity but it will only work with support. I appreciate not the best time of year but what else is there to do on a winters Sunday! If we gain enough support then I will look to putting a small calendar of them together for next year.

I would also urge people that are coming please at least buy a drink or two if not food- the pub are good enough to let us use their car park but will not continue to do so if its of little benefit to them. I dont want to lose use of a very well located venue.

Just a quick up date on this- thanks for all those taken the time to reply to PM's. We've got 6 CA definates at the moment and 3-4 maybes. I've got 4 non Classic Audi definates and around 5-6 non Classic Audi maybes. I am still posting it up on various localised Facebook pages and working on drumming up more interest. Ideally would like to get a few more Audi's on the list.

Please remember Silverstone social this coming Sunday. For many (including me) the last chance of a meet before the year is out. Please come and support.

We've now got 2x Cabs, 1x UR Quattro, 1x Coupe, 1x MR2 MK1, 1x MR2 MK2 confirmed and Jogi also said he will bring his lovely B2 Quattro. John B from the forum coming along for a chat (less his B2) as well.

I have also been sad enough to pay for a sponsored listing on Facebook for it and a number of people are now messaging me and tagging themselves in the post. Over all should get a good turn out of enthusiasts.

Interestingly I was chatting to the Pub manager on the phone and he is from the Classic BMW club and organises a Classic BMW meet at the same venue so was very pro us using it as a meeting point. Might speak to him about a possible combined Classic BMW and Classic Audi meet going into next year which could work well if he agrees

Sounds very promising Scott , very well done, I'd love to see another local become established like the Noggin n Natters have . Don't forget the photos :tup:

It's great that the 70/80s british custom scene is now being celebrated, all these old rods are coming out of hiding :D Love the Rover too :tup:
