noisy fuel pump
 

Hi,
the fuel pump on my b2 90 2 litre is really noisy,does that necessarily mean impending failure?

I wouldn't rule it out... My old XR3i had the same problem... noisier and noisier.. and then silence and a call to the AA.

I expect someone will give you the Audi lowdown soon though..

yes I remember my sisters XR3i had same symptoms as yours��

The pump on my 5T just started giving a little chirp now and again, then louder and more often, then started to growl a bit, then screeched very loudly and stopped :yikes:

That was the end of that :lol: Oh and it got very hot very quickly when it screeched :shocked:
