Heater fan speed problem

I have 1989 old shape coupe heater fan speed 1 does not work 2 and 3 ok this is normally the resistor pack? Does this car have a resistor pack or is is part of the switch? Location? Also anyone got one for sale? Thanks. Matt

i think it on the heater motor under the white plastic cover in the engine bay just under the wipers

It is the switch which is immendiately behind the fan knob (knob plugs into switch which is behind fascia), the lowest speed burns out eventually. Cure is new switch from dealer, and replacement is not difficult but fiddly.

Problem is not fan motor as it would not work at all. The fact it works on 2 and 3 shows it is OK.
