rear end bits for the 80 Sport ?
Not holding out too much hope but anyone out there got the brackets ( with rubber inserts ) that hold on the fuel filter and fuel pump beneath the car at the R/H/S rear end please? The ones on my car disintegrated on removal of said items . :cryin:
name your price ! |
Make some cardboard templates, and start off your small parts fabrication in the garage.
tinsnips, dremel, etc, are going to become firm friends. |
I should have done Metalwork at school instead of Art....as for firm friends, I'm already best buddies with the Swarfega tin !!!

I have the same problem and decided that (when it stops snowing) I'll try making them.
Can anyone tell me the size of the banjo fitting to said fuel pump" Also, can I use fuel hose and jubilee clips to connect the fuel pump to the fuel filter...I sort of cut the original one! :yikes: |

Thanks for those links, the rubber brackets are available from Eurocar parts I think, quite cheaply but certainly the other bracket may well be suitable. The problem one will possibly be the one that clamps the large diameter fuel filter . The whole system comprises brackets, rubber mounting galore, and just about everything has become paper thin with rust. Obviously they never planned for their cars to last 31 years.
But in that era, who did? many thanks again for those two links. |
