Parts for 2.3 engine

Hey does anyone have any breather pipes off an 2.3 enigine? It's the s pipe I'm after. I got an extra part for it from my local motor supplies and all they have in is a universal metal breather pipe. I've tried it and just design me insane as even going for a little drive the idle just can't cope and keeps going up and down and not staying on the normal revs it's meant to any help of possible?

you sure it's not your ISV that's needling blasted out?!

:hmmm:

No it's defiantly not as ie had to bodge it together as the new metal pipe has old pipes wrapped round it. It's connect with metal clips but it's defined the breather pipes

Does the idle still bounce with the breather disconnected? and also with the ISV plug disconnected?

Not tried it as if it does split it would eventually cut out ( I think) as when it want had Shaun help me and took ages to find out what it was. no haven't had the ISVS disconnected. Worth trying it?

If it were the ISV, unplug the connector and it'll idle really low (but won't bounce). You should be alright in the warm weather to avoid stalling.

I did this trick for a few weeks until I sorted mine because I hated the bouncing (especially bad with an auto box!)

Wrong. With ISV disconnected idle should rise to stable 1k rpm. ISV can't cause any bouncing, unless stuck while engine was cold or cranking, as the threshold where forced idle cuts in is 1,2k rpm. Removal of any intake hoses can't cause any bouncing either, only stalling - if warm engine doesn't stall with oil cap removed, it means closed loop compensation works well - removal of breather hose does about the same, as the path of air that doesn't lift flap is the same - through breather hose into intake between throttle and flap.

Well will it just be the hoses to replace as they are bodge on and holding it just about as well as they can. Because the replacement on from the motor shop was the wrong size and they insisted it was twh right one so only Mage to wangle it in.
