Terminal Fridge Freezer
i went to get a can of diet coke out of the fridge and noticed that it lacked the preferred frostiness on the can. further investigation led me to the freezer where i found lots of john carpenter's The Thing special effects from the now defrosted food that's been lurking in there as a space saver for eons now!!
so, fair to say that it's not working! it's been making a weird random clicking noise from the back the past few days which is probably it saying "HELP MEEEE!!" while i happily typed nonsense into these keys whilst ignoring it's pleas. :o any idea if these things are repairable or is that and the once fossilised food now condemned to the bin?? |
The food is fine- just cook it longer. I suggest cancelling visits by people you like until the effects have worn off.
The fridge sounds proper done in. needs mending, it does. Might easily be fixed, who knows. Can't you use the one in't meat waggin? |

Had the freezer been moved recently? I found out (the hard way) that freezers do not appreciate being moved and generally require 10-12 hours for the gases to settle back to their native environment before you plug it in. Failure to let the gas settle often knackers the compressor. It sounds like the compressor, but couldn't tell you what has caused the compressor to go on strike/demise! These things can be changed out but unless the freezer cost mega bucks it's usually cheaper to replace the whole thing sadly.

i contacted the manufacturer who told me that this particular model had a fault and that they'll repair it for nowt and that they'll reimburse me for all the defrosted food in the freezer too.
now, what was in there again...ah yes....50 lbs sirloin steak, 65 lbs venison...my ex girlfriend... |
