go for it! Most of the products I use are down to personal recommendations! Always nice to hear what other people have to say about other products rather than forking out a small fortune only to find it's a waste of money! |
Ok here we go.
During my ownership of a Black Ford RS2000 ( nightmare to get polished / waxed right) I have successfully used the below products. Over 2 years of use I must have saved me so much time once when displaying the car at shows. I have invested teh cash in these products and these are used on all cars now. I was a user of Autoglym but I only used the engine cleaner and Pastic/Rubber care. Got your Credit Card ready.:D Wash the car with Swissvax Car bath or Meguiars (use Megs as the weekly wash for the everydays cars) Level paint with Meguiars Quik Clay detailing system Prep the paint work for waxing with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Apply with Microfibre cloth Apply Swissvax Onyx Wax, leave for 15 minutes, Polish off with Microfibre cloth (best finish is achived on a nice sunny warm day) ---------------- After a wash, dry the car with a Microfibre based towel or Meg's Water Magnet Drying towel. Top up the wax finish with a Meguiars Quik Detailing Spray or the Swissvax Product. Wheel cleaning : Meg's Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner (I trying the Swissvax product) Tyres : Swissvax Peu Glass : Crystal (so good I have a second bottle for the house) Metal Cleaner : got 3, best one still is Autosol. I get most of my products from these two suppliers http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Car-Connoisseur-Ltd here is the finish, 90% of the car is still in its factory paint. The picture of the car with "RS Car shows" watermark was taken after a 20 minute clean up from the drive down from Kent to Rallyday. If you use the above products I have found over the last 2 years I only really have to completly wax each of our 3 cars once a year. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...110807-2-1.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...V/DSC_0218.jpg http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...V/DSC_0220.jpg wifes car http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z...e/DSCF0553.jpg The Audi quattro has not been totally treated yet but I have done has improved on the Zymol finish that it's done in already. |
Looks stunning fella!
Have used most of them products myself apart from the Swissvax pneu stuff. A lot of people rave on how good it is though! I do rate Swissvax highly (not a fan of Zymol, down to both politics and price but that's another story!!). Have you tried any of the new Dodo Juice range of waxes? http://www.dodojuice.com/dodo-juice-range.html The waxes or on a par with Swissvax waxes which are twice the price. The Lime Prime is the best pre wax cleaner I've ever used. Knocks spots of Zymols HD Cleanse. And a lot cheaper as well! |
oh, and can't wait to see the pics of your new toy once she's had the full treatment as well!
|
not tried anything else as I'm happy at the moment :D
One thing is nice with the swissvax products is the different smell each product has. |
