Ported 1b,mc, mb,kv head.

A long time ago in a galaxy far away...well it feels like it...... i did a rebuild on this cylinder head.

Ive just *found* it again hiding where i left it in the metal box still in the plastic i stored it in.
Needs to go as its no use to me and i could do with the funds to get quasi painted this summer!,

Ok, its originally from a 1b audi 200 turbo but it shares the same components and layouts as the other named variants.
It has sodium filled exhaust valves which are necessary if youre fitting it to the turbo motors or overkill if its going on a kv block or any of the other hydro equipped engine codes.

Has new valve guides fitted, seats were all recut on my valve cutting gear, head face was skimmed, new hydro tappets, new exhaust manifold studs and nuts, new coolant core plugs were fitted and all the oil gallery plugs and air assist channels were cleaned and brushed through, has a new cam front oil seal fitted plus the spares package as shown which consists of:
Head gasket.
Cam cover gasket(cork).
Intake manifold gasket.
Exhaust manifold gaskets.
Turbo gasket.
Miscellaneous sealing gaskets such as turbo feed etc.
5X 2 piece brass and ceramic/bakelite injector shrouds.
5X 1 piece bakelite injector shrouds.
New intake manifold bolts.

5 bosch yttrium spark plugs wr7 DC+
5 beru 14-du spark plugs.

Used cam sprocket and lower sprockets with the deeper tooth pattern.

Cambelt to suit.

Set of new headbolts.

Cam fitted is i believe the turbo cam that came with the head, obviously youd need to replace that with your own cam if using it on a kv or other application.

Looking for £450 for this, it is i think a bargain considering the stuff going with it.

Too cheap I think, I've passed on the link to a MB owner who is thinking about it .......there is no helping some people ! Parts alone are a few quid

I've got an MB head unrebuilt sat it the kids playhouse, It was one of the many parts for the epic 10vT for the rallywreck, but the 20vT itch took over. I really must get around to dumping it...

Seeing one gleaming and rebuilt is lovely, it's almost art....

forgive for my huge lack of Audi knowledge , volvos and saab no problem , but bought an audi a few weeks back as i fancied a change . problem being 2 weeks on i am rather bored of my 2.3 20v cabriolet , lowered and big exhaust , but its all mouth and trousers , sounds like a ferrari , goes like a honda accord !!
so what i am asking is could i use your lovely head on my 1992 2.3 engine for turbocharging it ? or failing that could i have it skimmed to get it up to a similar compression ratio as an N/A engine.

again forgive my lack of knowledge . many thanks Tim

darn it wont let me edit , i meant 2.3 10valve . cheers

Tony - I'm looking for the sundry parts you have, but wouldn't ask you to split this excellent head down.

Can you recommend suppliers for the various gaskets, exhaust studs and intake bolts? I'm reluctant to pay the privilege of going to an Audi garage as they will probably be overpriced and give me the wrong parts!

Thanks
