Eekkkkkk cq's values are going up :o

It's on the pricey side but in my book if it's a good as it looks then it's worth it.

Although the ad is a little misleading as it says it's done 5000 miles a year for the last 15 years, but it's a 21 year old car so it could have been to the moon and back in the first 6 years of it's life.

** just read it again and reads to have done 5k a year over 21 years so just over 100k now, Might be easier to actually put the mileage on than make me think!

Ripe for shortening I feel....;)

Tell you what Ian, if anyone bought that for shortening they want their Tads cutting off.

Has ABS as well - very nice example - mines only done 2850 miles per year

Very nice car, especially if you're after an untouched example of a non-turbo CQ! Bit on the pricey side though me thinks! But then I suppose if you're after a minter then it's worth it :)

seems too much IMO. nice tho, and if your in the habit of blowing 15-30k on new cars then this is a bargin. But I don't think most of us would want to spend that much... wud we? unlesss there was something special under the bonnet ;) ;) nod nod. :D

It is a bit difficult to price these as often the work that needs to be done on a basically sound car will dwarf the purchase price.

If there is a full and comprehensive history file showing lots of work been done, a recent clutch and cam belt/water pump/front seals replacement, and say it has a set of Bilsteins in it, then it is worth paying more. If it looks sound but has sketchy history, pay as little as possible as it might need a clutch, engine work, bushes and top mounts, all of which adds up pretty quickly.

Also, some people like me want one with ABS, which is rare.

I'd be pretty picky at that price but if immaculate ABS model with lots of work done I might consider it.

my new cq has ABS :D and the one i bought before that has ABS aswell. ;)

is it really that rare?

I know the ABS didn't acctually 'work' on the other cq tho :( but my old one did have leccy mirrors, and my new one don't! :( lol

I've deliberately avoided the ABS CQ's....;)
