Back to long dark cold winter nights!

It's started to get dark shortly after 6 now, that means this time next week it's gonna be pitch black!

cool, I'll get a lie in to get over my Irish jet lag after being sat in Cork airport for over 11 hours.

My planned first flight was Cork to Dublin at 6.30. Got through security at 4pm nice and early, got a pint in the bar, looked at the screen, delayed until 7.15!

That meant I would miss my connecting flight from Dublin to Manchester and would mean stopping over in Dublin.

Persuaded security to let me back out to get on the 10.30pm BMI baby flight direct from Cork to Manchester instead. Got BMI baby stuff sorted and guess what!! Plane was delayed. Finally left Cork at 1.45 this morning and got home at 3am. Have only had 4 hours sleep so I am knackered!!!!

Dark nights.
 

I do not understand why we change our clocks these days. Seems more trouble than its worth. Would rather have it a bit lighter for longer in the afternoon. Could be a good one for a poll.. however you do that!:confused:

'bout time we decimalized time if you ask me, all this 60, 24, 7 and 365 and occasionally 366 is wrong!

I hate it when the clocks go back :(
Means its pitch dark when i am up at the stables, cant see a thing, get freezing cold and end up with half a ton of horse standing on my already frozen toes :rolleyes:

you'll be sending children up chimney's if you had your way :D:D

at least Top Gear is back on to ease the pain a little :D

and a final reminder as I'm off to be bed to get my 1 hours extra kip!!!

What a swizz! You end up having to go to bed an hour earlier the next night or you lose that hour! ;)

bring it indoors then:rolleyes:

or get a security light...or sell the horse;):D.....or just wait an hour!!

so.... what do eskimos/inuits do? they get 6months continuous daylight...then pitch dark so what difference will an hour make to them:confused:
