gear speeds
 

hi does anyone no what speed my car is supposed to hit in second, its the same gear ratio as a 200 turbo and 200 quattro turbo 89? cheers

mine does 80mph in second, its a 100 2.2 turbo quattro avant, but thats pushing it lol wouldnt advise doing that very often

80, eh mine will get just over 60 i think unless the speedos out same 2.2 turbo

well will try it , what can you get to sixty time and does yours seem to hold back in third and fouth?

not done a 0-60 time yet.
It has only been up to 95 in third, not pushed it any further but it would have went a bit more.

Will need to time it when it comes back, have just had it recovered to the Audi garage today casue the m/c for the clutch has went.

Does your ABS light come on as soon as you hit 100? mine does but as soon as you slow down it goes off again, it was suggested to me that the wheel is rotating too fast for the sensor :confused:

just to add mine holds back sometimes but its needing a good tune, the car has only done 3000 miles in the last 7 years so has been lying about a lot before i got it.

Getting the ecu done while its in Audi then looking to get it remaped

no my abs light ok just seems to hold back in high gears seems ok in first and second timed it to sixty at just over 7 but thats if it does sixty in second,,?:confused:

and mine was ok when i very first got it , had it a year now and it still not going as well at the top as it did when i first drove it, its reall y annoying co cant fiqure out whats causing it:confused:

between me and my dad we have had 6 of these and from experience they all needed re-tuning once a year, mainly as they had to be de-tuned to pass the emmisions tests!

We just gave it to the Audi garage and they done the ecu and the car ran like new everytime, might be worth a try? beware though loads of cowboys will tell you they can do it and they cant!
Audi main dealers give you a massive discount on older cars ;) its much cheaper than the local cowboys and i know they will do a good job, worth checking out in your area
