Aftermarket Parts
 
Looking to buy a timing belt and water pump, can anyone offer feedback on the folliowing brands;

- Gates
- BGA
- SKF
- Febi??

Just found out that the SKF kit has a Gates belt as part of the kit...

What does everyone think of Dayco? Are they okay? (Best price so far)

IIRC dayco was something "not so good"

I would go for that SKF kit, also because of SKF itself :)

Dayco are OEM suppliers to the likes of Volvo etc, so have to be good quality. :)

I am reassured by the fact Dayco are OEM suppliers, saw that on their website - did they used to have a worse reputation?

yes gates are really good just purchased a gates full cambelt kit for my vw corrado and the other 2 drive belts too tidy gear
