Does your car have a name?

A question that I have always found interesting, does anyone else name their car/cars?

My 80 is called 'Amy', I know it might sound silly but to me the car has a personality, and I, and even thr rest of the family reffer to it as 'Amy' now! :D

Sie!;)

Ps. I also reffer to it as 'her', in the same way you would a ship ets.

My old '67 Beetle was called Bertie and the '68 Variant is affectionately known as Ralf but that's because of the number plate and not cos I like the name Ralf!

Other than that, not really, although most people in my VW club seem to have names for their bugs/buses!

Of course. Are you some kind of sick freaky pervert?

The 80CL is the "pimpmobile".

The 100 quattro avant is "The Equaliser" as that is what it does to faster cars when my car goes round corners

The T4 Caravelle is "Moby" as it is a big blue whale.

My Mk2 2.0 Golf was the "Terminator" as it would eat Chav Saxos and Corsas for brekkie.

The previous 100 quattro I had was "The Interceptor" from Mad Max.

The A4 TDi avant didn't have a name.

The new 100 Avant Auto is "The Barge", partly because it handles like one, and partly because Sam (previous owner) has a barge.

I don't name cars I am going to scrap, out of respect.

Christine?! :D Haha! No, not really...I only think of her being Christine when I'm going through a tunnel with no silencers! Makes a nice  sound!

All my cars have names, but some of them are in danish and hard to explain.

But here is "Max"

The 100 5E's name is "Helmuth", but I'm not sure if it's "Kohl", "Schmidt" or "Lotti":D

Hell yes, it would have been rude not to at that price. Pick up Friday evening, then crooooooooooooooooooooooze back down the M5/M4.

Will probably bring it to Audi Driver in October, as it is tidier than the quattro.

Looked an absolute bargain to be honest. Make sure you get to have a gander at his Buggys when you pick it up!

.

Mine was Limey, alas a dull name.

So,recently on a visit to Aberdeen,a pal and I trawled the list of VW/Audi colours on the net after finding the build tag lost under a trim in the boot.It said LY6G,this was called Vanillegelb-Vanilla Yellow.

So,I called him Gelbus! "us" to give it the Latin/Roman comedy touch,a thing I seem to daftly do a lot.

The previous well known in Volvo circles 480 Turbo was a 170 bhp beastie known as The White Charger. She did charge and was white.

:)
