Looks a bit like the idle/full throttle contact switch plug.....but cant remember if thats present in your application?

What model?

switch

Wired to a switch under the body and is made when throttle shut. To do with idle stabilisation system. If not working/connected you may get uneven or low idle.

sorry its on a JS engine Coupe GT5E b reg, switched depressed when throttle is closed.

Reason is i'm replacing the throttle body with a larger version and was wondering whether it could be deleted save me making up a bracket.

You sure you cant just drill and tap the larger throttle body to accept the switch?

Cant see as youll get any performance advantage to be honest as the JS was 115bhp iirc and its not going to be able to induct enough air to utilise the extra area of a larger throttle body, in other words any restrictions lie elsewhere. :)

If it won't make any difference (and 4V6 DEFFO knows his stuff), and it is a KV throttle body, sell it to me for my 80 Sport DZ engine.........

Its not a KV throttle body, it's not even from the VAG range ;)

Thanks for advice on switch
