Central locking....

hey folks, really weird one here, there is a strange issue with the central locking on my B4 80q. Unlocking the drivers or passenger door engages the central locking to unlock every thing else, but, when comes to locking, its like the central locking doesn't work....but you can here it work towards the boot, and yet it doesn't even lock the boot! Are there two fuses for the C/L, one for locking and one for unlocking??

Slightly.....:confused::confused:

Any Ideas:hmmm:

Regards

Vacuum leak?
Unlocks ok, but can't lock

the diaphragms in the locking modules get a little tired and perforate.

Oh ok, does that mean taking of both Door cards and having a fiddle about or does it sound like they have nearly kicked the bucket?

Cheers

If it is a leak, it's a process of elimination.
I found on the ur- that one door locking thingy was perished, and it would unlock slowly, and lock intermittently.

If you take the door card off and pull the pipe off the pump lock and suck and blow down the pipe to operate the lock it should work both ways. If you here it hiss or it dont operate then thats the one. they are really easy to take off:tup:
