Where the devil do I get some headlamp adjusters?
Not audi as such but early passat headlamp, circa '82 I think, as used on sport quattro. I've not tried tps yet but I've searched the net and drawn a blank. Does anyone happen to know where else they were used, can't see them just being for pissrats.
Cheers, Dan. |
Have you tried Pete Reeve at quattrocorner.com ?
I have four of the short plastic levers, if those are the bits you need. 855 941 145B, if that helps. Otherwise post a piccie - we can soon tell you the part numbers. |
They're not the lever type but thanks anyhow. I'll try and stick some pics up now.

after seeing your picture, if it was me i'd remake them in metal as they'd last longer and wouldn't go brittle over time if you did it right, shouldn't be that hard to do? even easier if you had one to use as a template.

I'm with Acid burn.
Looking at the picture from ETKA- Is that a pivot point, or the actual adjuster? Not really familiar with these. The other person to have a word with for fabricating an decent alternative is Tony/4v6. I seem to recall he is using/planning a quad lamp setup. |

Sorry the pics are not too clear. I've stuck another couple on. Basically Phil is right about the adjuster to a degree. There are three mounting points per lamp, one is a fixed ball and socket pivot and the other two are threaded ball and socket adjusters. The only bits I really need are the plastic socket parts that have the screw head (ball) bit in.

Cheers Pete, I've been meaning to phone since Phil posted. I'll get in touch in the next few days.
