diesel running.....
Obviousy you wouldnt unless you own a farm but if you had a diesel could you run it on heating oil and a bit of engine oil to lube the pump every other or 1in 4 fill ups.....??
|
a lot depends on your diesel pump
old caddy pick ups will run on clean cooking oil and dont believe all the b*llshit you hear about heating oil i was talking to a supplier a couple of years ago about using heatin oil in my escort van and his words were "its the same as you get at the pumps " his words not mine its the same as red diesel the colour is only a dye and i have heard if you filter it through tea it removes the dye but i havnt tried it or used it but of course you could be prosecuted for tax eveaion using some or any of the above h t h rich :D |
red comes up red....... engine oil comes up blue and ive been told heating oil comes up white aswell.................:ihih:
wouldnt do it all the time on the farm as the injector pump gets to dry. hoe about R-reg bmw 525tds?? think they are mechanical rather than common rail.......?? |
whats with the red comes up red bit?
i believe you can run cooking oil in most stuff i would have thought an old beamer would be ok on most things thats not an instruction incase it all goes t*ts up :D |
the dye colours when you dip them...........:ihih::ihih:;)
|
oh thats what you meant
try the tea filter then  i do believe a lot of people that run old knackers use red and take a chance if the car is seized by h r c they only loose a couple of hundred quid and whats the odds of a car being pulled at the side of the road next to nill |
when you sack 40,000 coppers not much!!!:D
