Performance Tuning the 10vT engines..

Anyone got any pointers?

I want to make it go quicker :D

It's the "KG" Engine I'm told.. and fitted with a dynalinx exhaust manifold.

I will be looking at doing the same in the future (MC engine).

bigger intercooler?
head work?
carry on the decent exhaust path?
different injection system

Intercooler upgrade would be useful from the view of keeping the charge dense when you raise the boost level, as doing that is pretty much a guarantee of getting extra power, however youll also have to contend with the inherent design limitations of the k-jet system in respect of how much air it can flow and still give correct fuelling.
Dont want a lean out situation occuring so a standalone management would be advisable.

Headwork, i do that already, pm me if you wish or take a look at this article:(hope this is ok with "der management") ? :)

Exhaust system will likely give a benefit also depending on how restrictive it currently is.

Hope this helps. :)

If your going to be making any real power (above 250 bhp) you need efi.

Hmmmm... water injection, nitrous oxide maybe? Its pretty dear to tune 5 bangers. You could have the head gas flowed, then re cut the valves with new seals and guides. That alone would perk an old engine up no end and wouldn't be too dear.

water injection isnt much point unless you have efi (you can run it off a solenoid to the ecu then) and NoS isnt true hp IMO,

Yes, those first two suggestions were just for a bit of fun.
