maybe a business opportunity!!!

We've been doing it with VW's and old Porsches for the past 15 years!
Most split screen vans are left hookers!
The yanks couldn't give them away but the Brits were paying over the top for them!
In 2006, the split screen van was the most imported vehicle in to the UK by single people.

Secondhand car prices are redicoulous in the US, salvage yards and mechanics are expensive in comparison to the UK. I think it was a trick to ensure that new car sales, especially the leasing market was kept boyant, why would you spend $5k on a shed when you can lease a brand new car for $200-$300 a month. Although since the credit crisis thats a thing of the past in respect to cheap leasing as all of the large corporate leasing companies owned by the manufacturers ceased operations.

My best friend moved to North Carolina back in 1999, he wanted a Audi 5000 to replace his 100 he left behind, the sheds he looked at were awful and at the time wanted $4-5k. So he gave up looking as it was one shed after another....

just had this back of the seller

No real issues when the car was running. Its now been sat for 2 years, so to be honest unsure to any current problems.
The wings have no rust on, body work does suffer from the odd scratch, dent and tiny specs of rust o the bottom of 2 doors but nothing very obvious or serious for a 20 year old vehicle.

Windows - front electric. rear manual. Sunroof is manual.

Not alot of paper work with the car for the age. I bought it from a family friend, who's mother had owned pretty much since new. No paper work was ever passed on.
Car is totally standard apart from the single tail exhaust which should be double tail. All original stickers and mats etc, nothing ever done to the engine etc.

Options on the car - - - Its a Standard SPORT. 15" Speedline alloys plus the spare is alloy. Central Locking. Aluminium rear spoiler. 3 gauge oil press & temp + battery (Volts). Ski Hatch through rear arm rest. Power Steering. NO air con.

My brain has forced me to enquire about this car.... Well, it would be a shame to see it scrapped!
