Audi 20v 7A Bosch fuel injectors correct voltage

H,
I have a 20v 7A engine in my B2 Coupe GT, the original Hitachi injectors are still installed
and running, the car is getting taxed at the start of the month and would like to run the car for a week or so with the Hitachi injectors just to see the difference between them and the Bosch injectors (0 280 155 759), the Bosch injectors and adapters are on my desk and I am itching to fit them but no I will be strong and wait, any way now my question, the Bosch injectors run from 12 volts and all I have to do is unplug the series resistor pack and remove from the car and join the six wires on the wiring loom that were connected to the resistor pack, is this correct or do I need to do any more?

The way I did it was to buy two connectors and make a small loom to bypass the resistor pack.

There are 3 wires which all get merged in the new loom

That way it's reversible.

Thanks Mike, are you going on this north West of Scotland Tour on the 2-3 of April?

When I had the 7A I just soldered them together, basically one is 12v the other 5 normally went through resister before going to injector as they were very low impedance. You'll not want to go back to Hitachis after the change, for a start you'll be getting more to the gallon, in addition, you'l notice better torque from the midrange due to better atomisation. Its not as big a change as a re-chip on a turbo car but still a worthwhile improvement.

I fitted these injectors on my 7A. I got them from 034 motorsport in the states. They also supply a ready made by-pass harness that just plugs straight in. No cutting or soldering just plug and play.

John are you still running the originals?

I paid £245 for five red injectors ( Bosch 0280155759 ) and alloy adapter kit from Germany.

No, running Siemens ones(I think?)......purchased from the man who pioneered the injector swap before 034.
