Hello. It’s been a while

Is there any body out there (cool tune)

WELL HELLOOOOO ALL. It’s been quite a while since I was last on here.

It’s nice to report that firstly. I’m still alive and secondly I’ve managed to find a B2 to tinker with. 👍👍

Great to see you post again 👍

Welcome back  it's all gone quiet on here now, not may of the old faces left.

Willbo 02-12-19 07:43 PM

Yes. So I see. Not like the good old days. I suppose FB has taken over

BackintheFold 02-12-19 07:48 PM

I’ve got an old face! And dislike FB.
Welcome back...

Yep, I'm a member of that club. A few 'new' old stock like me recently joined here. Had my first Audi in 1986. Quite a few since then

Welcome back

Forums aren't quite the hive of activity that they used to be huh...

I'm not on FB every 2 mins like a lot of people, so sometimes feel a bit disconnected to what's going on out there!!

Welcome back :)

There’s a lot to be said for forums which will sadly be hindsight when it’s finally appreciated what’s missing.

The best analogy I can come up with is-

Forum.
Like a clubhouse, where folks can discuss matters of importance in a reasonable manner, should they so choose. Occasionally bawdy, but on the whole can be a refined affair.

Facebook.
Akin to a gathering of Millwall and West Ham fans debating the finer points of etiquette- much, if any, of the valuable content being lost in the melee.

Rather like football, I still have difficulty understanding Facebook, and have never really managed to engage with anyone.

Given that FaceBook was originally created to rate girls on their looks (and also boys, but it was created by straight boys so...), why do we not hear anything about how sexist that is?
