Heater Maxtrix

Hi All,
I hope someone can help. After a long search I have found my water leak:tup: - the heater maxtrix :wall::wall:
Is there any way other than stripping all the dash and interior on a '82 Coupe to change the heater matrix?
I have semi removed the centre console and the lower half of the dash is not currently fitted, but short of removing the pedals I can not see another way to change the heater matrix.
Someone pppppppplllllllleeeeeeeaaaaasssssssssseeeeeeeeee point me in the right direction so I do no strip the wrong bits or do stuff that is a waste of time.

If I recall when I had my 83 b2 saloon there is no need to remove the entire dash assembly. I am sure that after removing the main air duct assembly by reaching up from the foot wells and also unclipping the cables from the heater controls, the entire heater unit, fan and matrix was removed from the scuttle panel and out from the engine compartment, after removing the coolant hoses

Thank you:tup: I will have a look in the morning.

Fingers crossed then I can order the right one

You need to undo the 4 bolts under the scuttle panel to release the heater box enough to lower it.
The heater matrix is slipped out from the right hand side of the heater box after removing both the coolant pipes.
Its not a mega hard job to do, honestly and no need to remove the entire dash, trust me. ;)
