2020 SORN work list

Its hard to believe another year has passed and I have the Cq back on Sorn after only 1700miles this year. I took advantage of the free 6 months MOT too as the old cart is well pampered and as expected flew through without any issues.
The list is small this year but Still enough to keep me busy over Winter with a house to refurbish too :).

1) Locate issue with Brake vacuum pump (stopped working the week before I sorned the car)
2) Get the steering wheel refurbished (leather lasted well but now letting the interior down)
3) Annual oil and filters replacement
4) Rear suspension top mounts (replaced the fronts last year and the rears have not been touched since 1997!!)
5) The front passenger seat cable to release the catch to tilt the seat for rear passengers snapped. (Have the new cable but replacing it without making a mess of the leather seat is making me nervous)

Having only done a low mileage this year will probably leave the plugs and disi cap replacement this year. (horrible job on mine and always results in cut/bruised knuckles!)

Regarding the steering wheel, have you a company in mind to do the job?

Not yet, there are several in my area and was going to start enquiring next month. Do you have experience of any company in particular ?

I bought a (CAC) refurbished one a number of years ago and was glad I did. As the one thing you are constantly in contact with whilst driving, it's nice to have one that feels and looks good.

Could do with one being refreshed on another car so keen to hear about your experiences.

Thanks for info. I have sent a quote request in to see if they can also refurbish increasing the diameter slightly to that of newer Audi's at the same time to improve feel, maybe some red stitching too :ihih:
