Timing belt gone me thinks........ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-80-S2...#ht_500wt_1202
Could be a good fixer-upper for someone.

Thats a fair bit for what might well be a completely knackered engine. They don't tend to fail well when cambelt goes and tends to indicate it's been poorly looked after:hmmm:

Could be lucky and looks clean everywhere else, if you know of a 20Vt engine going cheap , possibly worth a gamble:tup:

I do know this guy (through work I deliver to his work site every other day) if you want me to ask him about the car I will do so, was just looking at it last week and said that it looked a good one..

Doesn't sound like the engine's,turning over.Just sounds like the starter, spinning?

The seller knows more about the issue than he is letting on..

Just like normal faulty items on ebay - the disclaimer "I am not a mechanic and do not know what is wrong"..

There is an engine on the S2 forum for £1100...
